Whatever you do do not call me a fanATic. Call me nuts, call me bold, hell call me real, but I am a full supporter of nVIDIA products. My system platform is an nVIDIA nForce board from MSI and I will likely upgrade to the nForce2 from ASUS soon. Also likely, I will pick up a GeForceFX 5800 Ultra next year some time and be blazing with those plus the AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 333 I purchased a few weeks ago. So step back son, you dont know who you messing with!

So summing up from your results and the results when i attempted an 8500le, It seems that ATi can write drivers for software 3 years old but can't write them for newer programs. Its just dandy that i would love to use 3dmark99 when i attempted 3dmark 2002 se it infinite loops as soon as that fish demo starts.

"There is still hope" <- Guess this quote ;P

Heh, well, you may be wrong my good friend. Ahh but you may be right. Either way, it seems the recent 41.80 drivers have brought good fortune. SpeedTree and AquaMark now work perfectly. Not only these benchmarks, but as mentioned on the front of the nV News page, many other demos and perhaps even some games are now compatible with the Detonator 40 drivers. It's surprising that so many had issues similar to each other in the first place, and makes you wonder if it was the same bug causing all the errors. The only bad news: 3DMark1999 still incorrectly detects DirectX. : boohoo : ..!., ,.!..
