There was an available kit through Sony for the PS2 to add on an 80gb harddrive + USB keyboard & Mouse + Linus OS for like $199 or something like that. I'd never considering buying this for my PS3 nor trying to convert a console to a PC, thats why I have a computer

Anyone else catch where he mentions that any OS can find its way onto the PS3? Imagine actually installing Windows XP and having drivers to be able to actually PC Game! I wonder if thats possible...

Also even though unlikely to happen, what you said equates to the doom of the pc as we know it if you can load windows are play pc games on for at the most $400. And I doubt Sony wants MS to develope a PS3 only OS and end up making more off the PS3 than them. ![]() |

Don't know about MS but on the technical side according to Kutaragi, Linux wont be the only OS able to run on the PS3...
