I found this game runs so much more smoothly if you use the 77.30 drivers for nvidia and use the BETA drivers from creative if you have an Audigy 2 card.

Check out that thread.

Anyone know how to get it to let you map numlock8 for forward? It gives me an error when I try that. Oh, and it hangs when I go to create an internet account. Or rather it doesn't freeze it just never creates the account. Sits and sits...

Ya .. nothing special to me. Im running everything on full at 1280x1024 with 4xAA and 16xAF. It looks fine and fairly nice... but its nothing NEW. Still .. gameplay is fun though... expecially with 64 players.

I get the same when I try to connect through a proxy server. Switching to my alternate, non-proxied connection fixes it. I had the same problem with Joint Ops.

Game runs smooth as silk, all setting on High, 1280x1024, 4x/16x. No complaints, enjoying every minute of play and I think this game is getting pretty close to emersive as you could ask.

First off there isn't a buddy system in this game. LOL

Secondly, it does hang when you create an account but it created a account for me any way. I just ctrl/alt/del and restarted the game then retrieved my account and all was good.

The more I play this game the more I like it. The TV missles are so DAMN cool. I haven't plugged my joystick in yet so I just sit in the co-pilot's seat. I do love the fact that we can shoot out the windows of the APC's, that is a great feature.

My two favorite classes are the Support and Spec-ops. I love laying down cover fire while my team rushes to higher ground. Spec-ops are great because of the C4.LOL it is a blast blowing up communications, artilery and various vehicles that can't think fast enough to just get out of the area. LOL!
People still use tanks and APC's to charge, that is dumb. You use them at a distance to clear the area for the troops and insert troops near the target adn not at the target.

Anyway you can see I love this game...so back to the grind.

I've been having some fun with the snipers claymore mines (the anti-infantry ones) but my teammates are always so thoroughly stupid to see the big red death's head on their screen, walks right into it and punish me for TK. It's not even like I'm placing them stupid places where I know my teammates will come by, but occationally they do it anyway =/

But it's GREAT placing right on top of stairs to protect yourself when sniping on a roof! Someone tries to crawl up n' get you, instead I hear a loud "BOOM!!" from my back speakers then either sees hum flying over myself or hear him land 3 secs later with a "FUMP!".. This game is great man

As for my impressions .. the gameplay is definitely great IMO .. graphics are decent & colorfull.
performance isnt good as many said before me. also i noticed that shell shock cause framerate slowdowns on my SLI rig , any others get this?
i'm playing@1280x960,4xAA,8xAF(HQ) & barely satisfied with the performance.

2 questions .. sorry i'm too lazy to check back the previous pages :
1-wheres the insane settings ? are they reseverd for the full ver?
2-How do you get the X-Fi sound feature to work ?
