OMG i cant stand this bs anymore. Finally i fixed my non stop lag by updating punkbuster. Ok no big deal. But now tonight im playing in a server with little to no lag, just a little video lag every now an then when theirs big battles. Well all of a sudden artillery comes out of no where and blasts my a$$, ok thats normal, so i spawn and all of a sudden im seeing these corrupt textures everywhere and im moving at no more then 5fps. Not to mention 90% of the time i get kicked out of a server within 5 mins, or just never make it into the server. WTF the demo ran 10x as smooth as this. Chalk one more up for EA and Dice, good job guys!

Come on, youre joking right? 2 random people with different problems and youre blaming the CPU?

Besides, mine doesnt crash that often. I think its only crashed once to be honest, it just happened right after I fought with the server browser for 20 minutes straight so it was extremely irritating.

Im deffinitely going to get 2 more sticks of ram for this game though... I get so much jerkyness some times its rediculous. Its really hard to tell whats caused by lag and whats caused by lack of memory with this game engine.

i too have 3 major problems, other than this the game is pretty good:

* crash to desktop after map end
* server browser slow as hell, hundreds of servers have 0 ping
* for no reason after being on a 30-40ms server i get a "connection problem" and get kicked

the lesser evil are the crass lags which remind me of HL2's useless physics in MP
any idea on how to fix any of these?

ps - P4 2.6C @2.8 (can go 3.1 if it needs to), 1gb ddr433 kingston, bfg 6800gt + 77.30, 19" IIyama TFT@75Hz (vsync on)
pps - 64player maps, nice but at the moment no thanks

Is there a place on line where you can go to look at your stats or is just in the game?

This game is awesome, when its not laggy, although i do see some things that should be changed, besides the obvious bugs and such. First, I think they should change the server browser (no favorites, no auto join). I also think there should be a way to check the server name and IP in game. The auto switch should be changed where it doesnt switch you if youre the commander or a squad leader. In fact, it should be changed so that only non squad people are switched, or at least get first dibs on auto switch. I think it would be nice if u can go on the map and click on a dot to see who it is, or at least have a way to see who youre in a vehicle with. The punish system doesnt work... get rid of it. There are too many players who love to punish anyone just for the sake of punishing, especially since the kill registration is just retarded. One time when i was on the ground, i was looking up at someone flying a copter right into a building. For some unknown reason, it said I teamkilled him and he quickly punishes me. Didnt know i could kill someone by just looking at them. i laughed at the teamkill, got angry at the punishing. One last thing, Ive looked everywhere on the net for it, but i cant seem to find anything that shows the requirements to gain rank. I think EA or DICE should post up something that shows what the requirements are (how many points and/or awards you need to get).

*edit* whoops.. didnt know there was a whole thread about whats wrong with the game...

yes thats normal on shadows for LOW dynamic shadow quality...

the other jaggies look like a result of low AA... try forcing it via display properties if in-game isnt working...
