I can't play it. It won't support widescreen resolutions so to hell with that. I hope the release game is better in that regard. On the bright side it did install and does start up OK as long as I don't select a WS resolution. Then it freaks and pops back to the desktop. Weak.

It's not a great demo if it doesn't include that support. Seriously, it's pretty standard any more. Even UT2004 supports it and how old is that game again?

No really, it's pretty damn weak that it's so limited w/regard to selectable resolutions. Downright pathetic actually.

No its not a standard, not by a long shot. Either deal with it or don't bitch/play. No offense, Widescreen gaming is still growing, they chose to not support it because people using widescreen get a large field of view then normal 4:3 users, so it would make it unfair in MP.

BF2 runs TOTALLY smooth on my rig @ max settings (1280x960 85Hz)

I just have one question. Got my Bro here for playing over LAN. Is it possible to implement BOTS into LAN-Games yet? There is no button for it nor a different game mode.

Just wanted to know... maybe via modding? Would be awesome! 1vs1 on that map is just.... too boring -.-

finally i got it!! if you want 1280x1024 put this as your shortcut...
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

and change accordingly

no only if i can keep it from freezing/crashing
the game is awesome, but the bugs are so annoying
not sure if i want to buy this if they dont fix some things.

Where did you hear that? I heard the exact opposite in a thread on totalbf2.com.

To those looking for WS resolutions. It's possible for sure and as EA said in one of the interviews, you just have to edit one of the con files. Now, all the BF2 forums I checked haven't figured out exactly how just yet. But, it is possible so I'm sure eventually (day or two) they'll figure out. Here's a pic to prove WS tho:
