Definatly try out Gamma AA and Transparent AA, games use alpha textures so much it really makes games look better!

Running at 1280x1024 0xAA/8xAF HQ in linux:

350/1.00 : 27.5fps
400/1.10 : 27.6fps

So, it looks like I'm very CPU lmited with my 2700+... Won't be putting together an A64/PCI-e setup for a while though...

Specs:
OS: Mandrake 10.0
kernel: 2.6.11.2 (preemptive/4K stacks)
NV driver: 1.0-7664

1600x1200 Ultra quality 4xaa 8xaf = 46.7

1600x1200 high quality 4xaa 8xaf = 48.1

That's from ROE, (don't know if that makes any difference).

This map is not graphically impressive, in fact it just exacerbates all the problems with the current Doom 3 renderer (lack of proper materials light interaction being the most obvious).

50.8fps @1600x1200,4xAA,8xAFHQ on 7800GTX SLI/FX-55.
didnt imagine the CPU will impact the score like this!

Yeah, that helped you quite a bit.

BTW, that's the same thing (50.8fps) I'm getting using the same settings.

With tertsi's mod enabled (with the settings I like), I get 39.3fps.

I just ran it and posted my results. Doesn't look like it takes advantage of the X2 and that's a little disappointing. I thought I was going smoke you but ended up a little slower.

Edit: Oops, it wasn't stock though. I'll try that now.

1600x1200 4xAA/High quality (so 8x aniso) with no performance opts=47.8. Awesome. As I recall, the Warhorse only pulled mid 20s at 1280x1024 2xAA/ High quality.
