Its no big secret. I have had my cards since Monday the 20th of June. I could not resist the temptation of pairing up these bad boys before the NDA breaks, with that being said, I am not disappointed. In fact, in some aspects, I am a little suprised. I purchased eVGA cards, and the stock clocks on these are 450MHz/1.2GHz. Here is some pictures of the box and the card:
![]() ![]() ![]() To make a long story short, even more than last generations cards, you have to crank up the AA/AF to really see a difference. I am now able to increase the AA/AF in my favorite games and still being completely playable. Running Battlefield 2 at 1600x1200 hummed along at a smooth 50fps, my old 6800 Ultras would do about 30 at best. Not my idea of completely playable. Before I sold my 6800 Ultra's, I ran a few benchmarks to really see what the difference was. I will start off with F.E.A.R, since this is what I was most impressed with. I ran this benchmark with the built in benchmark utility, and was amazed at the results. Double the performance over my 6800 Ultra's. See for yourself: ![]() ![]() And now on to Doom3. Now, I did only gain 10FPS with the built in timedemo, its hard to say if the game is largely CPU bound because of the shadow calculations or not, but anyways, here is the benchmark, this was done at Ultra quality: ![]() ![]() And here is the result I got with 1600x1200 8xAA/16xAF: ![]() and some Doom3 16xAA/16xAF numbers: Quote:
Battlefield 2 1600x1200 4xAA/16xAF Avg: 56.337 - Min: 32 - Max: 83 My 3Dmark 2005 Score: Here are some screenshots of the action in BF2 with the FPS counter on:

I'm green with envy even though I'm still thrilled with my 6800GT. That's a sweet setup.

Can we have some idle/load temperatures please?
And does the card run quiet (that is, quieter than a 6800U/6800GT)? Thanks for the info!
