Please help me to set up TV out

Hi,

I have read the documentationa dn checked out all info on this forum but I just cant get TV out to work on my geforce 2 mx200 card. It worked fine under windows so know it can work i just dont know how to do it in Linux.

Would someone be so kind as to provide me with a howto on setting it up from scratch? or provide me with a copy of their working XFreeconfig which I can then place in to mine.

Am I right in thinking that I can have my monitor displaying my desktop at its normal resolution while on the TV it is set to 1024x768 or 800x600 ?

In case this is relevant i run my desktop at 1280x1024 and I live in the UK so TV is PAL-I.

I would really appreciate some help with this.

Hi!

I have the same problem, and find the part of the README that describes TwinView and TV-out somewhat confusing. Have tried to edit my XF86Config with similar results as yours.

A few lines of code for the XF86Config file showing a working setup would be the perfect tutorial, can anyone help out?

I have written a complete HowTo. There is also an example of a XF86config file.
I have noticed some bugs in the newest drivers, so please use 3123.

I now have it working all be it not quite like I would like, am I right in thinking that you can have the desktop at say for example 1280x1024 on your monitor while your TV displays it at 640x480 and so you can see the entire desktop on your TV and not only part of it? apart from this it works great altough I need to find out the hoizontal and vertical refresh of my TV as currently its set to H30 V60.

Any ways heres my config in case it helps anyone:
