Pffft, don't be,

I wasn't going to do it and I couldn't pass up a card that performs like the 7800 GT does. I was intent on SLi and was waiting for the "GTs" of the next gen. It is sort of funny they turned out to be that in a literal sense. I was going to wait on the CPU upgrade too and I figured to hell with it since I am having to gut my rig to replace my mobo. I will do it all in one hit. I know a slightly OCed X2 4400+ is insane for multitasking.

I hope that nForce board is still holding up for you...

stupid question, do evga retail cards come with nvidia dvd decoder or do we have to buy it from nvidia?
seems kind of stupid to shell out $20-50 more when the damn feature is touted on the box and unuseable w/o the decoder :/

So....what happend to AGP O.o. Thinking of getting my 6800GT upgraded for the next few games, mainly for FEAR(Game just looks too good to be ruined by low fps ^^)..Does this mean that AGP is dead now?

No possible AFAIK...same with the 6600 cards, the extra pipes physically were not there to even unlock to begin with.

Get out the lead pencil and draw more pipelines on the core die. Draw as many as you need.

Yeah, it's too bad as it takes some of the fun out of it. Sometimes they cut the traces with a laser too which I don't know of any workarounds to.

Yep takes the fun right out of it
I read VRZone and some other place tried it with riviatuner and it didn't work. Besides the PCB looks different too.

The pipes are probably damaged anyway. I tried unlocking mine in rivatuner but it didnt work. Doesnt matter i got 7891 3d marks on a single Gt. Not bad at all

The prices are starting to look good on the 78GT's too. I've seen some at Monarch advertised for $389
