Angry RenderAccel and bitmap Chinese fonts in Firefox

Hi, on my laptop, I got a problem with Chinese fonts in Firefox when RenderAccel is on. Because it is impossible to get good quality for small size true type Chinese fonts, we use bitmap ones, but if RenderAccel is on, sometimes these fonts go to mess, and it only happens in firefox (for both XFree86 4.3 and Xorg 6.8. I have tested on many distributions and got the same problem). I am currently using Gnome on debian sid and Chinese characters in other applications are fine. I tested it on a CRT display and got no problem. Anyone got a idea about this?

A suggestion is to disable the PANGO support in your firefox start script. Comment out this in your /usr/bin/firefox (or mozilla-firefox).
Code:
MOZ_ENABLE_PANGO=1
export MOZ_ENABLE_PANGO

Thank you, but it does not work. And if I turn off antialias for all fonts or turn on antialias for Chinese fonts, then there is no problem. It only turns up when antialiased English fonts mix with bitmap Chinese fonts. So what is wrong?

RenderAccel is known to be buggy and unstable (freezes on lots of machines) it is still work in progress. I recommend to disable it, without it XRender uses software acceleration.
