AMD Hammer information

haha! there you go again, show me anything that will prove that a 800 Mhz CPU, any brand, will beat any 1.6 ghz CPU of any brand and I'll beleive you. But it has to be real.

Also, I don't care what any company says about their product, I only care about real performance that I get, and I get the best performance from Intel processors time after time. They have never let me down and I will continue to equipt my computers with their chips.

An 800 mhz Alpha would DONKEYRAPE a 4 ghz Pentium 4, and that's a FACT.

LOL, ok ok, you got me, I put my foot in my mouth, What is an ALpha? lets narrow it down to what netviper said, an 800 Mhz AMD chip, that is out right now, VS a 1.6 ghz P4 that is out right now. Retail. I don't think it could do that.

I never said a chip that is out now. I was referring to the Hammer sample. If you had bothered to read my posts on the previous page, you would realize that.

Well, since you've never had an Athlon by the sounds of it....Yeah.
It's not a matter of Intel letting anyone down, but the prices on their high end stuff is ridiculous.

Yes I do own a few athlons. And, I don't think $193 for a 2.4 ghz Intel Pentium 4 processor is bad at all.
