Far Cry instincts
Just have a quick question... what's the difference between Instincst and the normal Far Cry?
Did they re-do the story line or what? As far as I understand, you now have some crygen abilities, hence the yellow-creature eyes... Enlighten me!

Instincts is pretty much a totally different game. It's the same basic storyline (Jack is escorting the girl to the island, guys blow up his ship, yadda yadda) but aside from that they're not much alike. The levels are completely different, the combat system has been modified to include things like dual-weilding and stealth melee attacks, you can set traps up now, and the "feral abilities" add a whole new aspect to the game. The multiplayer was also completely redone. Unfortunately the new levels are a bit disapointing, they seem a lot more linear and less expansive than the originals, but that's the only major shortcoming I've noticed in the short time I've played it.
Basically, it's a different game based on the same setting. |

Yeah I saw the above posts, and they dont mention platforms at all...
thus, I googled, and it still seems like Instincts is the Xbox version of Farcry.. http://www.farcrygame.com/us/farcryinstincts/main.php only lists Xbox.. Not a carbon copy of the PC version as it seems, but the Xbox version never the less... I guess they COULDNT have it a carbon copy, they prolly had to scale down the maps quite a bit..
