Heh you should see the steam forums - if you think this is bad, they're worse.

The only people it may have been obvious to are the fanboys such as yourself who have nothing better to do than to browse valves catalog all damn day.
4. Valve could easily give the CE users the benefit of the doubt and let them have DoD:S free. There is nothing preventing them from doing so, and it could earn them money in the long run by keeping that many more customers.
The only thing that is stopping them from doing so would have been vivendi(since they are not activision). DoD like CS and HL all have their own individual publishing contracts. And now EA although i have a feeling valve has structured their new 'distribution contract' with ea quite a bit different then what vivdendi had renegotiated with them.

Just thought I'd let you know that DoD:Source was just made available for pre-load. I'm really looking forward to this, I just wish I had a graphics card that could do FP16 blending.

The 6200 card is fully capable of all effects that a 6800 card can, including FP16 blending.

Oh, and DoD:S is availible for preorder now, for the bargin price of only $17.99! Yes, that's right, for a whopping $2 less than the retail package that also includes CS:S, you can get a game that Silver owners got along with a dozen other games for $10 more than the Bronze version! Isn't that such a better deal than being able to upgrade to Silver!

Its cheaper to buy the meal deal, then it is to buy each item individually.

And don't let price fool you. While, in the real world, if you go to a place and get the most expensive item of an item type (say a steak from a restauarant for example), you can be about 99% positive you are getting the absolute best, because why else would it cost that much?

But for VALVe, that's not how things work.

Nope. FP16 blending was cut from the NV44.
