The attached patch addresses a kernel interaction problem on Linux/x86-64 systems that either don't support the no-execute page protection feature or on which this feature has been disabled by the SBIOS. To patch 1.0-7676 and install the updated driver, please follow the instructions below.

The patch below fixes a problem that can trigger a kernel BUG() on Linux/x86-64 systems using either the IOMMU or the SWIOTLB; please apply this patch (see the instructions above) if you're using such a configuration.

The attached patch works around a bug in some Linux kernels' implementation of the change_page_attr() interface function with respect to the handling of large pages and the no-execute page protection feature. This bug can lead to system reboots. To apply the patch, please follow these steps:
