Default nforce3-debian (kanotix)-SOUND-PROBLEM

hi everybody!

i have a 32bit debian unstable/sid-system (kanotix), 2.6.11 kernel.
i've installed the nvnet and the nvsound drivers exactly described in the docs!

nvnet runs fine (just as it did before i installed drivers), but sound just won't work!!
after installation i have put "nvsound" and "nvnet" into the modules-files, and i have inserted the "alias" lines into the modules.conf file, for soundsystem i have chosen "oss with thread support".... but kaffeine (video-player) for example says, it can't find sound drivers - although xmms works fine (it's the only 'soundmachine' that makes noise ).
no alarm-sounds or notifying-sounds!!

what's wrong?
