Arrow no quake 4 for me

No Quake4 for me.

PunkBuster's license agreement makes it the worst trojan imaginable. It gives PB permission to read, delete, or change any file on your HD, and to take screen shots at any time from your display. Any file, any time, whether you're playing Quake or viewing pr0n or working on your company's confidential report. No thank you.

Only protest will change such things.

Do you really think PB is gonna take pictures of your system when your viewing pr0n or working? Punkbuster is a very large company, they would not destroy their company by doing something like that.

Imagine if PB were to invade peoples privacy, do you think developers would pay money to use punkbuster? Of course not.

Also, PB doesn't run in the background. It loads up when the game loads up. Really though, to think that a company would completely sabotage its customers, and destroy their business is a little ridiculous IMO.

Another example, Dell could very well put spyware on every system they sell. Would they? Of course not. Word will get out and people would stop buying their systems.

But not only that, on most PB games you have the option of installing PB if you wish. Battlefield2 give you the option.

IMO, Punkbuster is a godsend in the multiplayer gaming community. There is nothing worse than cheating in multiplayer games. It completely ruins it.

You get a cookie when we get a gold announcement. Then everybody wins.

I don't think they even know for sure until they are gold.

I wouldnt be embarrased that the knew I watched pr0n, what I find unsettling and the possibility of embarassing is when they see the movie only plays 7 minutes and then it gets turned off. =X

They just dont need to know THAT kind of information.
