Sempron64 2800+ @ (1.6GHz 256kB cache)
1M : 60 seconds

overclocked:
Sempron64 2800+ @ (2.56GHz 256kB cache)
1M : 36 seconds

Been stable all week-end!

Whereas my P4 Northwood (which I love) is getting:

P4 NorthWood 2.4C 512kB @ 3.4GHz
1M : 41 seconds

I never though buying a s754 Sempron 1.6GHz for a few bucks would be an upgrade from my P4 3.4GHz... Lucky I have a PCI-E port on my new s754 mobo, the Sempron will make for a good gaming machine in a few weeks...

Thanks! I dont want to screw it up so I run it daily at 2950mhz @1.5volts. I am pretty sure this thing can go much further being at 3000mhz on 1.55volts an on air, but I am not about to find out!

3800+ @ 210x12 = 2520, 2gb OCZ memory @ 2,3,2,5 and tweaked additional memory settings in bios to drop 1 sec off previous best score.

not bad compared to my friend's 4400+ which gets 39 sec!

39? Damn that's bad. I was wanting to upgrade to a dual core cpu but the more I read about them on here I think I'll stick with what I have.

The benchmark doesn't seem to take advantage of dual-cores. Watching the task manager while it was running, one of the cores is essentially idle. Edit: The load shows as 50% through the whole test.

Ok cool. One question though, if you are running a program that doesn't take advntage of dual core does it run slower than a similar clocked but single core cpu?
What are the stock clocks for a 4400+ or a 4800+ cpu anyways?
