The ship date is supposly the 11th of October, with that being said, lets take bets on when quake4 will go gold.

I'm gonna take a bet for the 26th of September.

Ya its very possible and happens alot. I willing to bet Q4 goes gold around the 2nd or 3rd of OCT. Lets hope hehe.

Who knows when it goes gold? It may go gold in 2 minutes or it may never go gold. As long as the Gold status hasn't been reached, the game can be delayed, cancelled, id offices bombed by terrorists, id employees abducted by Strogg-resembling aliens and so forth. It's when you know it's gold, then you get that warm fuzzy feeling...

Links? Proof? If there's an official statement regarding this then I'd like to hear it, but it is unusual (re: it never happens) for games to release on Mondays or Fridays. Or did you mean that it would release during the span of that week?
