hmmm...i'm expierencing the exact same thing, this is first game that i have seen this happen
*edit* turning off Fast Writes doesn't help either
*edit2* turning off NV/ATI Speedup in the BIOS seems to have fixed it

Man... this sounds really bad. I played the demo of the first one and found it freaking amazing. I bought the game and got bored with it 3\4 of the way through... mostly because it just got rediculous with the amount of irritatingly strong enemies you had to fight. So I cheated to the end because I wanted to see what the finally was... i was very impressed with that last boss, thats for sure.

Its sad that they came back with such a weak game... I havent played it but the other game got praise all the way around, this one has been getting nothing but bad comments everywhere Ive looked.

Yeah... I hate it... I know it is supposed to be whacky... but the models are just too stupid for my taste... the enemy design = poo.

Not that bad i'd say .. graphics are neat but nothing special (i like the weapons & environments animations).
though i have to agree that enemy design is weak & they dont have thier own characteristics as they used to be in the original SS.
the idea of vehicular combat is nice.
overall it could be fun for some co-op but thats about it.

looks like Painkiller will still hold the title for best mindless shooter game out there afterall!

BTW anyone remember that shot with the ball players that made comparsion between 3Dc & no 3Dc ?? kinda funny when you compare it to what we see in the demo now

Is it true that you can use AA + HDR in the demo ??
In this article it appears they were using both.

This was at 1600x1200, with Shader Model 2, HDR, anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering turned on. Proof, if any more was needed, that the 7800 will handle anything you throw at it without breaking into a sweat - even next-gen game engines.

Hmm well it goes head to head with Will Rock in the gameplay department
