Fastguy, before you send that mobo to its grave try the following:
Take EVERYTHING completely out and rebuild the system.......
It sounds ridiculous and I can't explain why it works.....but I had a problem similar to yours in the past. I couldn't get the system to boot properly. I re-seated each component individually what seemed to be a hundred times with no luck.....Though once I removed everything and rebuilt the system from scratch, it powered up fine with no problems in the future...
I highly doubt the memory would be incompatible as Crucial is typically setting the benchmark for mobo compatibility...

Yeah are you sure that whatever memory you are using(eg PC133SDRAM, PC2700 DDRRAM) is compatible with the type of motherboard you purchased, check the manual!
Config: Pentium 4 2.8ghz
3 gig PC1066 RDRAM
Leadtek GF4 TI4600
