thx for the heads up. I started noticing them sometime back, and not just on this forum... But all around the same time, it started appearing on many different sites, as if over night...

Yeah it was a tad annoying at first, albeit I ignore it more now. Still, being able to block it is nice...

And no, I don't click on them. I think I had only done so once, not because I was interested in what it was, but because I was wondering "what the hell is this thing". I was on a school lab computer at the time, so if it was something nasty, well my PC would have been OK... Close to the end of semester, they format all those things and ghost a new image over anyhow...

Beyond that, no I have neither the interest or the intent on clicking on them links, as they appear in any site. At first, I thought it was some stupid update to IE or the like, which in addition to adding some new security fix, popped this in the code I then saw it at home on Mozilla too, so scratch that idea.

I use Opera, and I tried disabling just about everything, and the thing that worked was disabling Javascript.

I guess it makes sense that it uses JS. Only thing with that, is it disables it for everything else. Main reason I prefer something like ad block for my system... Same goes for flash ads. One can remove flash and be done with them, this is true. But there are also some things on the web one might want to see, which uses it also...

I think that you are confusing Javascript with Java. You can disable Javascript and hardly notice it. If you run into a problem somewhere, you can always reenable it easily.

Almost every site uses JavaScript for FORM submission validation, AJAX, or DHTML.

The code is here:
Code:
<!-- start Vibrant Media IntelliTXT script section -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://itxt2.us.intellitxt.com/intellitxt/front.asp?ipid=1882&mk=10"></script>
<!-- end Vibrant Media IntelliTXT script section -->
I added *.intellitxt.com to /etc/privoxy/default.filter along with the ah.pricewatch.com host and they've disappeared.

I'm a Linux user, I don't get spyware.

I'm not confusing anything... Ad Block plugin, no disables, no ads seen...

Leave the Ad Block out, start disabling stuff (and flash is a big thing here), and bleh, forget it.

If it's all the same, I'll stick with ad block, and then not even have to think about enabling or disabling anything Ads foiled, no futz, no mutz

I use the Opera browser, and have a button on the main bar, to enable/disable Javascript with a click, so it's really no bother.

you can disable them with less intrusive means than using adblocker. just add the hosts to your system32/drivers/etc/hosts file

127.0.0.1 itxt2.us.intellitxt.com
127.0.0.1 ah.pricegrabber.com

case closed, no need for adblocker software, etc.

Telomerase

Telomerase is an enzyme that adds telomere repeat sequences to the 3' end of DNA strands. By lengthening this strand DNA polymerase is able to complete the synthesis of the "incomplete ends" of the opposite strand.
Telomerase:

* is a ribonucleoprotein;
* Its single RNA molecule provides an AAUCCC (in mammals) template to guide the insertion of TTAGGG.
* Its protein component called TERT ("TElomere Reverse Transcriptase") provides the catalytic action.
* Thus telomerase is a reverse transcriptase; synthesizing DNA from an RNA template.
