I'm trying to install the Nvidia drivers on my system.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/freebsd_1.0-7676.html That's the link that I'm using for the driver. Once I get the files, I extract them to my machine and then open a konsole. I then go to the directory that I extracted to and type in make install. I have updated my kernel and all my packages. I'm using the Debian Kanotix distrobution. I then get this error message: Makefile:17: *** missing separator. Stop. I don't know what to do, or how to fix this. Any ideas? |

That's the driver for FreeBSD, an entirely different OS. You'll need the Linux driver

What is the driver for Kanotix then?
I'm really confused with all the driver names. |

As I said, you need the LINUX driver. Never heard of anybody running Linux that didn't know the name of their OS
