I am amazed at how good the demo looks in DX 7 mode. I played it 4xAA 4xAF Quality and it played ultra smooth. I wouldn't recommend anyone with an FX card to play this in DX 9 mode.

Hey guys, for some reason my textures aren't the highest quality compared to the screenshots i saw someone post on page 2. Just look at the wood on the truck in my screenshot. I set all my settings to high ingame, even tried bumping AF to 16x in nvidia profiles, and still same thing. Anyone know? BTW, I noticed model detail only goes up to normal and there are no texture options in the menu....

I'm suprised on how poorly this game is optimized. Looks really no better than CoD 1 (well the smoke and particle effects are nice), and it runs really bad. Hopeful that because it's a demo that it will get worked out before release. Hope.

I noticed the same thing. The textures actually looked better in DX 7 mode.

I despise it when people say something looks like old gen tech when it clearly doesn't.

The game looks significantly better than the first Call of Duty. Textures, bump mapping, everything, it ALL looks better.

I just got the new 78.05s for DOD:S today and so does he. He has a 6800GT though and I got a 6800NU, but still others too aren't having the same problem as me with my/older video cards.
