Well, this game is killing my system. After much experimentation I finally ended up with these sittings:

640x480, everything set to medium, Vol lighting on, Shadows enabled, Soft Shadows on, 2xAA, 8xAF.

With those settings these are my test results:

FPS
Min. 17
Avg. 35
Max. 72

FPS Distribution
25% below 25FPS
45% between 25 - 40FPS
30% above 40FPS

The game did still look pretty good. Not to fond of the multiplayer, but I might still get it for single player.

Had fun with it, 1024x768 and everything on med my 6800gt and 3200+ chugged a bit, but overall it's got potential. Only played DM btw, haven't tried CTF yet.

didnt like it, still dont see what all the hype is about, take away the pretty visuals and what do you have underneath? Pure sh*t imo.

Its pretty rubbish really. Good thing single player although scary rocks. Looks like i will have to get my multiplayer kicks from quake 4 and cod2.

That's the way I'm starting to feel about DoD: S. Yeah it's cool, realistic (kinda), but then you look at the small maps and what you're actually doing over and over and it's like... wait.. where's the rest of the game? Some rounds last less than 30 secs, heh. For a free demo or even a $20 game it's fun though.

1 minute til download starts for me with this MP demo.

Can you name another game that has multiplayer Slo Mo? There is none. How about just another FPS with slow mo? Very few, I can't even think of one.

Personally, I think its really cool, and adds alot to the multiplayer game and the SP game. Not to mention the AI is the best I have seen, and the scare factor is leagues beyond Doom3. Can you name another FPS "Thriller" game? I can't.

I can't imagine what you are gonna think of quake4. I mean that game really has nothing that spectacular that will set it apart from other games. It just does what it does well.

How about this, take HL2, take away the pretty visuals, the nice lip sync, and the physics.. what are you left with? Nothing really.

just had a couple of rounds on the Factory map, seems to be some improvements over the beta, still has the respawn bug where you respawn in the place you die instead of a respawn point.

Turn off AA and AF and turn up the resolution... Also, Turn off Soft Shadows.

Ok tried it and at first I thought it was too "toyish" and flimsy but then the first slomo and kick attacks turned my mind. First time I felt I was playing an actual current (next gen) game since BF2. Ragdolls, limbs and physics objects flying around, pretty sweet.

I dont like basic DM or TDM these days but thats the best basic fragfest since HL2DM. There should be more slomo though, on a crowded server it never gets charged.

Now somebody needs to make a mod with more of the same but with a more simulation approach.. maybe an office with loads of windows and stuff to blow up while you fight, with doors that hinge around or even come off, pushable tables etc so you can build a fort in one room or block an alley

The slo mo in multplayer is OK. I prefer standard DM. Just destroyed a couple of DM servers

Runs PERFECT on my system with everything maxed. Much better than the SP.
