Default Can't adjust volume with spdif output

Hi all,

just giving the nvsound module a second try. But unfortunately I get the same error from nvsound, that caused me to switch back to the open-source alsa-module (snd-intel8x0) a half year ago. The failure is, that I can control volume only with analog output activated. When switching to spdif output (which is preferred) on my receiver the volume adjustments (with nvmixer and all other software) have no effect anymore?!! Is this a known bug (I searched for it, but found nothing) or just something I've overlooked?

Some details:
Mainboard: Abit NF7-S (Nforce2 Chipset)
CPU: AMD Athlon-XP
OS: Gentoo Linux
Kernel-version: 2.6.12
nvsound-version: x86-1.0-0306

Help is appreciated.

Greetz

PS: Is there a possibilty to turn on some debug-output either on nvmixer or on the nvsound-module?
