cannot install kernel (unable to install drivers)

hi!
i have madriva linux 10.2, and want to install the nvidia-drivers for my card. i'm no full noob but not very good in working with linux. if i install the driver, i get following in my log file (installation failed):

i searched the forum, but i do not know how to install kernel sources etc!!
please say me how to!

you need to install the kernel sources for your kernel. even though you have a kernel, you need the source code in order to compile things. your current kernel is in binary format. in order to get these sources, you will most likely want to do it in the manner in which madriva wants you to. i could show you how to do it the manual way, but it has a high possibility of breaking a lot of stuff.

if your linux distro has a package manager (for example if it uses .rpm files), then look for a kernel source package and install it.
