Default Driver hang under latest x11 of Centos 4

I own a TNT2 I've installed the 7174 driver,
But since latest update of xorg doesn't work anymore.
When I start it the cpu go to 100 the screen became blank and stays this way.
Linux works (i can access it using ssh).
Anyone know how to fix that?
Thank you
