Because people always have to try and make other people feel like the game they like isn't as good as the game the other likes.

Same thing happens with Intel/AMD fanboys and NVIDIA/ATI fanboys.

/me runs
"its all about the mp" to you, not me. I like Sp more than Mp.

I am looking forward to playing both games. The negative with FEAR is that you need a very powerful system (CPU and GPU) to run it with the great eyecandy on so it looks good. Quake 4 should be close to Doom3 specs to run, which is good. The stories for both games seem very good at the moment - crossing fingers.

I'm only interested on the sp mode, so I wanted to try quake 4 before buying it, just to see if its solo mode is cool.
Too bad there's no demo available for the moment

Edit: To add my personal light to this, I will be getting both games, the same day, and I will play both until I beat them. And I'm gonna love every minute of it while you guys are still arguing about whats better. That is all.
Couldn't have said it better...thx. I understand discussions over the quality of engines, graphics, etc...but no one is convincing me that 'this' game is better than 'that' game if I like 'that' one better. I'm just damn happy to have two new games to play here very soon...and I hope they kick my A**

Wow, that's real surprising for Q4 to rate that low. I waited 2 whole years for Doom 3 and PC Gamer gave it somewhere between 90-94%. I really enjoyed that game and I believe that it should've got at least 97%. I still know which one to buy (Quake 4 or FEAR) but I'm leaning more towards FEAR than Q4. And knowing ID Software, they will wait until next year to release any kind of demo for Quake.

Quite. What we have to bear in mind is, there are some strange people out there who, say, didn't like Q3A. And then there's those people who think Halo... aw, nevermind .

Indeed, the only opinion on a game that matters is your own.
