Default Apache, PHP and MySQL on SuSe 9.3

First time Linux user here....

I was wondering wether you could shine a little light on me with respect to how to install Apache, PHP and MySQL in order to create a small server for running a web-app I need to do for a certain class.

I noticed there are a lot of different kinds of downloads for linux. Anyone care to explain?

NOTE: as seen on thread title, Linux distro I'll be using is SuSe. Alternatively Fedora Core...

Thanks a bunch.
