Atari 800 Computer 1979. It ran cartridges, floppies, and tapes. I played it and programmed it. I thought I was hot stuff the first time I downloaded a game on my Compuserve account with my 300 bd modem. Star Raider was the first game I got hooked on.

The first game I think I ever played was Driver on the Playstation. I hated games when I was younger. All I need now is the Driver series to get back on form because it one of my favourite games.

Hehe.. ET was really messed up. You're running from FBI agents, then you fall in a hole and have to stretch your neck out and levitate out of the hole. *shrug*

Raiders of the Lost Ark was another one I used to play a lot even though I couldn't figure out what the heck was going on half the time. Joust, Atari Circus, Pinball, Enduro, Mario Bros..

It's funny now though that you can buy those atari controllers with the games allready on them.

I chose 1984-1987 (Born 1981).

I remember playing games on my commador plus-4 and my brothers zx spectrum. very fond memories

Then we had a sega master system, released in 1996 in the UK and i had one for xmas and the first game i tried on it must have been hang on (built in game) and i still own it today and it still works too.

I remember finding out there was a secret game installed on the sega ms.
If you held down buttons 1, 2 and pressed up @ startup you would get to play a maze game as a snail. very addictive.

My first game was Jet Set Willy on a ZX Spectrum+ ;-) It was '84 or '85, so I was 9 or 10. There were two games, JSW and Hungry Horace. The best thing I remember is that on the first day I had the Spectrum, after I went to sleep, my dad stayed up all night playing Horace.

Very first system ever was a Hanimex pong console circa 1976/77.

Moved on to a Commodore 64,late 1983. I think the first game I played on that was motor madness (been a long time).

Moved onto an Amiga 500, then an Amiga 1200.

Purchased first PC early 1996. First game on that was Day of the tentacle (part of a lucasarts compendium that came with the machine).

Personal computer as in micro computer. In this case pretty much any computer smaller than 21" TV-set (no most VAXes are not counted). :-) Sinclar ZX Spectrum 48 definitely matches the definition. Good old rubber-mat keyboard.
