Well I played for just a little bit and here are my thoughts. It is a really nice game definately a keeper. I wish I had more time to play it, but at the moment I am busy (but since it arrived I had to try it ).

I didn't like the idea that in the box there is a little note that basically says go download a patch. I just opened the box there shouldn't be a need for a patch.

No cd case for the disc, just a cd envelope with a serial number stuck to the paper envelope. Very unprofessional looking. At the very least put a CD case for the DVD or one of the thin cd cases. But that is just too cheap IMO to just leave the DVD disc in a paper envelope.

The Copy Protection gave me problems. It wouldn't let me run the game. Kept giving me a Security module error. I had to set fear to "Windows 2000 compatibility mode" to get the game to run. That didn't happen with the single player demo, though I hear that people had that problem with the multiplayer demo I never downloaded.

The comic book really doesn't feel like a comic book more like a pamphlet. But I really didn't care about it, I was more interested in having the game on DVD .

Got it sitting on my desk, can't wait to play. I'm gonna try this before I play Quake 4.

I know this might have already been addressed but I can't find it, how can I set the resolution to 1280x1024 for my LCD? Is there a way to do it?

Weird, thought all the 4:3 res options were availible from the ingame menu? If not, see this post.

1280x1024 is actually a 5:4 resolution, and apparently newer games just plain don't like it. I have had to mod my configs too often recently.

Ya, you're right, thought that was still considered a "standard" resolution though.

Does the game have any crappy/sneaky copy protection software, such as StarForce?

Nope, I really do wish It used StarForce. I love the copy protection, sure it causes problems sometimes with users but most of the time it works wonderfully and delays pirate releases very well. I never had an issue with it so I have no reason to dislike it.

I actually constantly talk about it to the PC Team at Tubiron when I get the chance, trying to get them to implement it.

Thanks JuiceZ, I love this game more than anything in the world, I cancelled a date, stopped doing my physics homework, threw away my assignments, turned off the lights, closed the windows, pumped up the surround.... my hands are shaking, my hands are shaking but i'm STILL getting headshots, BOOM headshot!
