The lady must be sweet on you. Use it to your advantage.

You've got to ask "Have FEAR and Quake4?"

P.S. And then you gotta take her back and have wild passionate sex in the back room , right on top of FEAR and Quake4 boxes. Now, that would be something, wouldn't it?

I'll post mine in a few.

You can use fraps to take screenshots, and it can be downloaded for free here.
You can use Supload to upload the screenshots
That we can get an idea of what settings to mix and match to get the smoothest performance.
Thanks to everyone that contributes
Here you go. I didn't take a screenshot for the settings, they're all on max for cpu, and everything maxed for graphics except:

Resolution = 1024x768
FSAA = 2x
Soft Shadows = off
Volumetric Lights = Medium
(Edit - oops forgot AF)
Anisotropic Filtering = 4x

I found the volumetric lights max setting is almost as framerate killing as the softshadows, and the difference between medium and max for the setting has very little visible difference. At least at 1024x768.

Graphics card is an FX4000, basically the same as a 6800GT (375/1100 clocks). I'm really surprised how well it runs at 1024x768, with 2xAA and almost everything maxed out. Driver is 81.84, all opts on, gamma AA off. Here's the benchmark screenshot.

Incredibly, I could actually run a fraps capture at full 1024x768 output, 30fps, with those settings (even the 2xAA), and keep a framerate between 20-30fps. Here's an edited version of it, resized half res to keep the file small. Dual pistol action.

http://www.vapulus.com/fearakimbo1024.avi
(3mins 38MB)

And some full size framegrabs from the original uncompressed 1024x768 avi.

Beat it last night btw, great game, has the best gunfights ever.

Here's another movie, full 1024x768 res this time, shotgun rush on a rooftop, the first guy gets cut in two! hehe

http://www.vapulus.com/fearin2.avi
(25seconds, 9MB)

Has anyone been able to run this in widescreen yet with a descent framerate? That's one thing I'm worried about is that my system won't run it in widescreen resolution.

Yeah... I love the dismemberment in this game... blowing peoples heads off, blowing an arm off, or blowing them in half is always fun.

And of course the gibbing will, too.

Widescreen is good for slideshows, is it not?

I ran the demo in widescreen and it ran pretty well. I would hope that the full version did also.
