Hi all,
I tried to install the nforce-1.0248 RPM for Suse 8.1. But unfortunately, the sound does not work. I did some more research and found out that inside the RPM from NVidia for Suse 8.1 theres no "nvaudio.o". In the RPM for Mandrake there is one. Is this my problem? Do I have to compile the sources? Thanks for the help. Jens ![]() |

Solved:
with the help of a guy that e-mailed me, I tried the following: 1. Download SOURCE RPM 2. install as written in README 3. edit /etc/boot.local insmod soundcore insmod ac97_codec insmod nvaudio This works, seems that the normal RPM for SUSE 8.1 is broken (no nvaudio driver). ![]() |
