Yes lowdog, you need to specify the exact gamedir path. Mine is "c:\id software\quake 4\" and if i had left out a single space, I would have gotten the same error message

Mmm.. it would be really good to have like, a standard "NvNews" timedemo, made by someone who is super awesome, so that it was actually fun to watch. Anyone up for it?

It seems the offset mapping function is currently not suitable for Q4.It causes odd visual on normal maps,just like those in D3 when using 3mood of early version
I suggest everyone post what setting you are using now and attach some screenshots for comparison.And lets see what setting delivers the best visual for Q4 |

Awesome you made it so quickly. But I have one comment. I think some textures don't looked right with the relief applied, especially some plain grondarea's. But besides this, great work.

Yeah, there are few ground texture which does look bad with normal offset mapping (ultra or high)... poor texture design :/
