I bought my pc back in 2003. It is an HP computer and I have a Geforce FX 5200 running smooth in it. However I have noticed that I could use a little bit more speed when rendering games. I don't know much about power supplies but I know I have a 200 watt one and I found out the specs but I cant say I understand any of it. So I am wondering if I could install this 6200 in my pc.http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p...D256&class=vga
This is the powersupply that is in my pc http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6806944509 These are my general pc specs (i added the vid card after purchase) http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...bph07767&lc=en Well hopefully someone here can help me. I really dont want to fry my power supply. Any help you can give me would be great. Thanks! ![]()

The 6200 card has a lower power requirement than the FX5200, so you should be fine.

Depends on the 6200. Mine came with a molex connector and required a min 300 watt power supply, but works just fine on my 250w psu.

If you get lucky, your 6200 might be unlockable to a 6600.
If it is, you probably would need more power in the +12v rail... Gentle |
