Hey guys, try shooting the birds down Its funny.

Also, did you notice you can pick up the guys cane after he drops it, then throw it in the water.

At the end of the level, he magically has the cane again! wow

He must be leech proof

There are still some things I would like to see.

Volumetric smoke (if its volumetric, looks pretty crap).

Perhaps new weapons, like a harpoon tosser

Try using that cane on the combine, pretty fun

First, it ran like crap on my system, Regular HL2 ran like butter, second that was the most pointless demo ever. third, the ai seemed really stupid. 4th the graphics were good.

thats pretty much it. took like 7 mins to finish it.

The fire in HL2 was just a 2D sprite. It had height and width, but no depth. I remember standing so that there was a "piece" of fire in front of me and went around 90 degrees to the side to see it, and it was a paper-thin sprite.

Ah, gotcha. I'll go check....thought you might have been talking about particles.

Well, done with the second run. Improvement with a lower resolution, but still chugs some in the church, not unplayable though.

Now, what WILL be interesting is to see if ATI's newest cards can pull this off, let alone outpace the 7800's. ATI (and Valve in my opinion) have alot riding on this. Lets see those numbers and screenshots .....

LOL

Yah, I emptied my bazooka at it before saying to myself, hang on, it says don't stick your willy in that slot

With full HDR, this 6600 I'm testing was able to pull at least 30 fps at 1024x768, no AA/4x AF. Not too shabby for a $100 card.
I decided to go 12x10 with 4x/8x and it chugged in the cathedral but remained relatively playable in other areas. In the cathedral I dropped at some points to about 15fps but otherwise it was usually upto about 30 or so.

10x7 played a lot smoother with same settings.

And I didn't pay a penny for my card
