Nvnews Java chat??

Would be anyone else be interested? I think it would be quite nice to login on a boring day and check the chat for any fellow nvnews members. Maybe if enough people request it, it will be added.

I didn´t know Nvnews had an irc channel. How can I access it? Do I need an external irc client or is it web-based?

I like the idea of a Java client. I would use IRC but my lovely university has decided to block all but like...three ports.

You can still create a java client and link it to the IRC channel. I just think it is un-necessary considering the fact that we have so many easily available irc clients to use

actually the more i think of this the more i like it....think about how many here visit from there corperate desktops where the only traffic allowed out is http...how cool would it be if we could some how get an http wrapper for irc that would allow us to chat on a webpage via http....
