I tried it at 1024x768 on up with similar framerates (mid-20s). I believe at 800x600, I was able to keep it above 30 at all times.
Try the Cop mode and see what kinda FPS you get... I haven't done many of the races

I still dropped into the 20s in a couple of areas but overall, it ran better than some of the quick races. I thought the quick races were fun but evading the cops was a lot more fun. I also thought the sound was good even though it had stereo set in the game. I'm using headphones with the 3D mode turned on and it was pretty immersive but headphones are kind of that way even with just stereo sources. Going in the wrong direction and hearing the cars whoosh by was really cool.

Anyway, in the area in these screenshots is where I dropped into the low 20s. It first happened when all the cops were surrounding me (mid-20s) and then hit 20 or 21 when I made the big doughnut fall on the cop cars (dust flying and that's what usually happens in the quick races -- go through the medians, dust and debris gets thrown into the air and the framerate plummets with my system).

Anyone know of anywhere I can see some instructions for this game? I know it cant possibly be that complicated, but its hard to make sense of all the little pictures and words all over the hud in the chase mode. It seems kind of strange that they dont give you any tips or any instructions.

If anyone knows:
What are the orange triangles on the map?
What are the blue dotted circles on the map?
Is there damage in this mode? If so, how is it indicated?
Why does my car not move any more after some collisions?
What is the cool down time? If you wait for it to fill the whole bar you lose.
Is there any way to change the sensitivity of an analog stick on a controller?

I'll probably get more questions later

Game is really fun though... I reinstalled and havent had an error since. Im hoping that that fixed it.

Also, you can make it start up a lot quicker if you delete everything out of the movies folder.

orange triangles....if you hit them all the cops cars chasing you crash

blue dotted circle....places where you can hide from the cops

damage....there is no damage to the car other than cosmetic damage...cracked windshield, scratched paint...(i think)

collisions....are you sure your in the correct gear?

cool down time....when the cops are not chasing you....you have a time limit so if you exceed that time you loose...

Use the orange triangles to get rid of the cop cars behind you... they get for instance smashed by a huge donut, or fired up by a gas station. lol

The blue dotted circled are the cooldown areas, when you stay there, the cops wonīt find you.

Your cars damage is only visually (AFAIK).

I donīt know why it doesnt move, but the viper doesnīt like slippery ground, thats for sure.

The cooldown feature is only needed after you finished your "mission goal", but I might be wrong here.

I didnīt find a way to change the sensitivity of the analog axis.

This may be a dumb question, but how do I view my fps? Maybe I'm just blind, but I didnt see an option in any of the menus or the cfg file. Thanks.

http://storeandserve.com/download/12...patch.rar.html

download that.

set the in-game resolution back to 640*480
rename the game executable to speed2.exe
launch theuniversal patcher, select needforspeed underground2 in the dropdown. search for the executable.

change the resolution to whatever you want. hit the patch button.

start the game. dont change the in-game resolution, leave it as is. enjoy
