Problem with HL2:Lost COast with a 7800 GTX
everything looks and runs fine but the game keeps on freezing
I have no idea why it does this see specs on sig

This would probably get more attention in the Source Engine forum.
And the reason the game keeps freezing is because the Source Engine is bug-riddled crap. You aren't the only one having the problem. There are a few hundred thousand of us. Welcome to the club!  |

I keep hanging on to it in anticipation of NS:S and BM:S coming out within the next year. Unlike valves first party games, those two games should really be something worth waiting for.

I lost my HL2 CDs and stuff...and I don't feel like trying to remember my steam login. All in all it'd be more work than it's worth to get my system set up for Aftermath.

My friend actully has the same problem with Lost coast and his GTX. It runs like crap at around 10-15 fps and keeps freezing on him.
I can only laugh at him because I'm running a 6800 Ultra and it runs beautifully maxed out. That and he keeps making fun of the fact that he HAS the GTX. But that aside, Steam has always had a problem with NVidia cards for some strange reason.
