It is $29.99 at Gamestop http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=644859

Anyways, I played it for 5 hours and bought the game. I haven't tried playing an MMO since shortly after Evercrap 1 (levelcrap, levelquest, evercrack- which ever you like) got released. I played Guildwars for over 900 hours and it showed me how much fun an MMO can be, so I decided to try out WOW. Downloaded friday, and bought on friday. Have the game now for 4 days now, and still loving it. Guildwars was the Gateway drug for me.

I heard it's addictive. I think I should stay away from it if I want to stay in a good social condition, besides, I already got BF2...

But seriously Guild Wars is a flawed and incomplete game experience that does not compete with WoW on any level save (arguably) graphic prowess. And the art is much better in WoW.

I haven't had the chance to play WoW yet so I cannot make a fair comparison, but from what I have heard they are two very different games. WoW is all about the leveling, whereas GW is about rushing to level 20 quickly and then experimenting with builds and strategies. I've never PvP'ed in GW, but that is supposed to be where the game really shines and all the experimentation bears fruit.

GW PvP >>>>> WoW PvP
GW Pve <<<<< WoW PvE (though I think PvE in MMORPG's is crap anyway)

If you play GW and haven't tried teamplay in tombs or Guild vs Guild you are missing the best part of the game.

WoW is all about rushing to level 60 when the game really begins. At that point a world of opportunities are opened to you, and the focus of the game becomes gameplay, character equipment, character talent build, etc. based on your goals. The game up until level 60 is basically moot, something you won't realize until attaining level 60 (not a particularly hard task). Once you hit 60 the training wheels come off and it's all about learning to play your class effectively. You can do PvE raids, PvP, or both if you take the time to build up a couple of different equipment sets. Blizzard is always adding more end-game content as well. The majority of your time in a WoW career by far will be spent at level 60, unless you're the type who rerolls characters frequently.

Server Error in '/betas' Application.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Source Error:

The source code that generated this unhandled exception can only be shown when compiled in debug mode. To enable this, please follow one of the below steps, then request the URL:

1. Add a "Debug=true" directive at the top of the file that generated the error. Example:

<%@ Page Language="C#" Debug="true" %>

or:

2) Add the following section to the configuration file of your application:

<configuration>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Note that this second technique will cause all files within a given application to be compiled in debug mode. The first technique will cause only that particular file to be compiled in debug mode.

Important: Running applications in debug mode does incur a memory/performance overhead. You should make sure that an application has debugging disabled before deploying into production scenario.
