![]() ![]() So my 6800GT just bit the dust. I have to replace it with another AGP card. Would getting another 6800GT be the way to go, or is there another card with similiar performance that has a better price/performance ratio? Also, can I even get another 6800GT AGP, my searching doesn't show newegg or mwave selling them Sorry, I've been out of the loop when it comes to hardware, and I can't really seem to find any good info about AGP cards out there.

You Should really try the card in another computer before you go buying another one. I have a 6800 that displays the same artifacts as yours and i tried it in another computer, and it works fine.
May not be the case with yours, but you never know. |

It has become increasingly difficult to find 6800s for AGP at a reasonable price. The last pieces are selling at outrageous prices.
TheInquirer (take it as a rumor) reports today that NVidia will introduce the 6800GS also as an AGP part in a couple of weeks. It might not be as fast as your GT but it should be a cost effective stop gap solution for the next year.

There are lot of people with decent system (Athlon64, Pentium IV-C) who don't have any necessity to upgrade but the video card.
Neglecting this part of the market would be a huge mistake. Even more when your main competitor has announcement its intention to bring out some more AGP cards.
