ok, tried the betas and the same error occur (that with "object not set to an instance of an object") ...googled and found smth on microsoft support, but it is related to db acces, however, installed .net framework sdk (just in case) and still the same.
....at least the last beta doesn't start at all so i cannot complain anymore about this error ![]() ![]() ![]() to be honest, the only version which did start the games i've tried on was the "Version 1.0 PublicBeta3" but with that "beta3 expired" message so i suppose that's why the modules i've selected didn't run. |

anyone havin any probs playin ut2004 with tb enabled?
Seem to be gettin an error on some maps... Also, I have left triple buffering in my nvidia control panel enabled, because i play all opengl game wit v-sync on. Just wondering if this setting has any effect on direct 3d games at all?

Lewis, check the ini file ut2k4 has its own Triple buffering it has some confliction
with directx tweaker TB , so just stick with the main game's TB. One of the only games that the devs put the TB option in by choice nobody else does ![]() Also the TB option in nvidia control panel has no control over Direct3d games its an opengl option only ![]()

hi all, i've just tracked down my problem, it seems to be a kaspersky av issue... does anybody here use kaspersky as antivirus protection? i'd like to know if i'm the only one having this problem or it's a common issue !?

wow great tool! However i found with triple buff it still lags somewhat on my fx-55, 7800gtx so by putting a 3 for quadruple buffering its now as smooth as a babies bum.. Try it!

Also, as you increase the amount of "buffers" the system is getting further away from the actual event you are seeing.
In a single player game this wouldn't really be much of an issue, but in a multi-player game you should take that into consideration. Gentle |

I just signed up to say that yes this tweak works great. Not sure that everyone else can say the same but I saw a 10 - 15 fps increase when using tb with vsync on. I never used to like vsync cause it always made everything run slow, but now everything runs faster with it on.
Just so that other people can get an idea of what I got my gains with, my hardware is 3800+ x2, 2GB ram, 6800GT, 3 x 120 Raid 0. So I can confirm that it does wonders for a 6800GT. (most people on here seem to have 7800's) |
