I'm gettin relatively good fps in BF2 1280x1024, x4 aa @ highest settings

Average around 55-75fps (min 40fps)

But errrm it aint running perfectly smooth, gettin odd jitter/stutter hear and there.

81.89 driver seemed fine, but 81.95 not so good in bf2.

Maybe i am gonna need to enable v-sync and tb through this dxtweaker to smooth things over?

[wanna keep 81.95 driver coz it's good in COD2 and quake 4 etc]

Okay, so apparently Steam games already have their own kind of triple bufferry thing going on, I looked it up. But the thing is, this implemented triple buffering sucks ass and only works with framerates above 45 fps or so. Just do a test... you'll see that Half-Life 2 based games already have some sort of triple buffer without the aid of DXTweaker. I wish they left it out though, so I can force some "good" tribuff with DXT...

Excellent tool btw...

Sure Source games use TB? I think I concluded that it didnt, but the fps counter was a bit wierd.. when I tested a while back.. ended up playing CS:S with Vsync OFF...

It looks like you need to go back to Nonatainment download page, download and install DirectX9MDXJUN.zip

anyone else tried this tool with COD2 ? it works, but i'm still not getting the smoothness i think i should ! i never see below 45 fps. i'm getting between 45-100+ in multiplayer without DX tweaker, and 45-85 fps with it on. must be a game flaw, because even in DX7 with the fps @ 100-300 it's still not smooth ! CoDUO running vsync'ed at 1600x1200 75hz runs butter smooth. i know ones openGL, and the other is D3D, but my fps are way up there. rant over

i have it running smooooth now like it should with vsync enabled ! averaging 70 fps @ 1024x768 2xAA 8xAF. this is a great tool ! now why cant nvidia force tripple buffering on a D3D game that doesn't support it natively ?!? this tool seems to do it just fine !

Well, tell me then how i'm supposed to enable triple buffering in steam games, because the before mentioned method doesn't seem to work. DXTweaker or not, my framerate still jumps from 45 to 60 by moving the camera a tiny bit, which would indicate that there's just double buffering. Yes i've got vsync on ofcourse and i've tried different versions of DXTweaker, including the new beta test versions. It works perfectly in COD2 for example, but apps like Steam games and BF2 + special forces already give framerates that would indicate a third buffer, but also plummet back to half of the refresh rate sometimes. I can't explain this. I measure all my framerates with Fraps. Latest forceware 7800gtx256 1 gig dual ch. mem.

Anyone experienced this??

who knows the person that coded this tool?

could you please pass this suggestion, i think it would make this tool about 1000000 times better

either dxtweaker or seperate tool should run in systray, open the tool, force triple buffer in it

use some type of app detection, set up the tool that if hl2.exe, speed.exe etc runs, then force triple buffer

this would make it so much easier, instead of starting the program each time, and then run games from inside of it

in the current state of this program, i can't use it with need for speed most wanted. to play the game in 16:10, i need to use a seperate tool to force the resolution
