Default Should I sell my Leadtek AGP 6800GT?

Mine Leadtek 6800GT AGP actually is a very nice card, and fast.
It can OC to 435/1150, I installed a Zalman vf700-cu and it's running coolly cool.

I'm wondering if I sell it in ebay for around $250 or what, and add some cash to buy a 7800GT,
is it worth it?

Or I just simply ignore 7800 series and jump directly to G80 or whatever?

O yes, my motherboard has both PCIe and AGP

very good question. the 6800GT should handle all games at low-medium to medium settings especially at those speeds, and your mobo allows for quite an easy upgrade.

so the real question is do you think you will get top dollar for the card at this time? or in other words, would the amount of money you get for the card at this moment of time compared to the time that the G80 is released be optimum.

i would say go for it, but thats only because im going to upgrade to a 7800GTX soon. i will be selling my card as well for around $200-$225, but note that my card only does stock speeds (doesnt OC worth a damn hehe). im sure you could get more than i get for mine.

If you're going to sell it and want >$200 better sell it fast.

The 6800GS is already right at $200 and performs on par or better than the 6800GT plus the 7800GS is right around the corner at about that price point.

But with eBay, well you can almost always get someone to buy just about anything at any price.

Its your call.
If you go 7800GT, you will have to upgrade to new mobo too.
If you game at 1280x1024 res, the 6800gt with that OC should last you till G80 comes. (mine is fine at that res.)

I don't have to upgrade to new mobo because my mobo has both AGP and PCIe

sorry has nothing to do with the topic but can u tell me if the Asrock board is performing well or if I should consider lookin for another mobo? Im thinkin about upgrading my mobo in the next few months so I wanna make sure to get a "good" board and this board is my price range + I can keep my 6600GT agp and upgrade later on to PCI-E then when I need to..

Yup, that's the beauty of eBay. People are dumb as hell.

not really, try any source game with hdr or just even only the bloom. i have a amd 64 3200 at 2.45ghz and a xfx 6800gt agp. anyway with this setup i played the latest garrysmod 9.0.4 and ran through the single player level of halflife 2 with bloom on (only bloom and not even HDR) and my fps dropped by 30 to 40. My settings are maxed 4x aa, 16x af, 1280 by 800 resolution. It was terrible and unplayable while moving the mouse i could really feel the slowness compared to when bloom is off. Even at 1024 by 800 resolution its terrible. I turn on bloom i am in red fps area, i turn it off my fps jumps up to green 90-100. CS source is comming out this wednesday with a new hdr enabled map. My god i will be below 30fps alot with this crap 6800gt that cant handle hdr or bloom. For me not being able to play cs source in max resolution or at least 1280 resolution with 4x and 16x and hdr means my video card is ****.

so you have a 6800GT and you are running w/ every thing maxed and 4x and 16x and think your card is crap as it does not give you FPS numbers like a SLI 7800 GTX? You are being a bit silly.
