Default legacy drivers

I have an old Vanta LT card. Im looking for updated drivers but I cant find the "legacy drivers" mentioned in current driver README file.
Where I can find those legacy drivers?

Hi,

they are not released yet.
So you are stuck with an older driver release for now.

I tried with that version but after compiling it says that kernel sources are not the same that kernel version. Thats a big mistake. I confirmed versions of both packages and they match.

Without the exact error message, it's hard to tell what the problem is; please attach the /var/log/nvidia-installer.log file.

Based on the log, the problem is that the successfully built nvidia kernel module cannot be loaded. The most common reason for this problem is that you compiled the nvidia driver with a different version of gcc than what was used to compile your kernel.

Please provide the output from the following commands:
cat /proc/version
gcc -v

Thanks,
Lonni

nvidia: disagrees about version of symbol struct_module

It looks like the kernel source tree the driver was built against doesn't match the running kernel, exactly.
