Please vote to find out which type of monitor you are using: A bulky CRt or a flat LCD. If latter is the case, i am pretty sure that you'll be happy if Nvidia accelerates subpixel hinting for perfect and fast antialiased fonts. (Currently subpixel hinting is either broken or slow, using Renderaccell.)

Personally, I still think CRT picture quality far exceeds LCD screens - it will be a few years yet until I buy one.
LCD screens always look a bit `fuzzy' to me. Maybe I got dodgy eyes... Nick |

LCD and loving it! The big difference for me is no more flickering. CRT's flicker is noticeable to me even with the refresh rate set at 100hz or higher. LCD's don't flicker at all.

I use a 19" LCD at work and use both 17" LCDs and 22" and 19" CRTs at home.

Unless your CRT is from Eizo, usually a CRT is very less sharp than LCD and has other problems (convergence, geometry, refresh rate) in addition. On the other hand LCDs are usually not so good are response time, colour, and black level.

(LCD as main monitor)So I don't know what to choose ![]() I have never seen subpixel hinting on a LCD yet, I am looking forward to see it. |

My Sony 19" XBlack LCD is too sharp, so I actually turned the sharpness down!

Just realized I have a 17" CRT at home for testing, and a 15" CRT in the stereo cabinet 24/7 for MP3 server/family picture slide show and xBox, so I guess I do use CRTs at home, too.
