rsauers0,
How did you come to that conclusion? Please post an nvidia-bug-report.log if you're experiencing problems. Thanks, Lonni |

Do these new drivers support the GeForce GO 7300? Or are they only suitable for GeForce 7300?!?!?

Looks like the problem is that you're using the 1.0-7667 driver, which doesn't support the GeForce 7300. You'll need to remove the 1.0-7667 driver which ships with Ubuntu, then install 1.0-8756. This process is discussed in greater depth in other threads on this forum.
Thanks, Lonni |

Thanks for your reply. I had followed the instructions to remove the old version of the driver and install the new. The new reconfigured my xorg.conf file, but then x wouldn't start. I replaced the xorg.conf, restarted x and then ran the bug report tool. Did I do things in the wrong order? Should I try the same thing again?

I'll need to see a bug report against 1.0-8756 to comment further.
Thanks, Lonni |

I've decided to do a clean install and start again, sorting the graphics driver first. I'll need a little guidance, if you can help?
The kernel will need updating at some point (2.6.12-9-386 to 2.6.12-10-386). Is it best to sort out the kernel update first and THEN do the nvidia driver removal/reinstall, or the other way round? Ta, Walders |

The nvidia driver needs to be reinstalled any time you change/upgrade kernels.
Thanks, Lonni |
