Post G6800 GS, nFORCE4 and AMD64 2x

Hello to everybody,

I'll have my new box with the following items
AMD 64 3.8 2x
Asus A8N-E nFORCE4 chipset
nVidia G6800 GS pcx
and try to install a Linux on it

I'm almost a newbie, just started with Knoppix.

Does anyone of you guys can give me some advise whether Debian would be
the right one? I mean in terms of supported HW and like.

thanks anyway

mAU

I recommend Ubuntu/Kubuntu. They have a great forum where you can get support.

The nvidia X driver should work fine under most popular Linux distributions, including (but not limited to) Debian, SuSE, Slackware, and Redhat.

Thanks,
