Is the 32MB limit fixed in a patch yet?
I love the way the newest drivers make my KDE look. Allshiny and new with great antialiasing and Composite support. Problem is, I play games. More specifically, games on Cedega. That 32MB limit really slows down the FPS of my games, so I need to use the older drivers (7676 for now). Is there a patch out for this yet?? |

I Think he is talking about one bug that occurs when you use cedega and these new drivers that limits your your agp ram to 32MB. Transgaming has reported that they have already contacted nvidia and that both are working in a solution.
Thank God I'm going through examinations all month, if not I think I would be eating my nails waiting for the patch. |

I'm not aware of any bug matching this description. Please provide details on how this bug can be reproduced & detected as well as an nvidia-bug-report.log.
Thanks, Lonni |

@celebdor: the problem you're referring to will be addressed in a future NVIDIA Linux graphics driver release; unfortunately, it can not be addressed with a patch for the open-source kernel interface files. Please note that there's no 32MB limit as such in the driver.

Thanks for the response!
Yes, it is the Cedega problem I'm reffering too, where it only reports a 32MB limit on my 256MB card. Can't wait for the next version of the patch!

Bug 204598 is open for this issue. As Zander noted, there will not be a patch for this issue, it can only be resolved in a full driver release.
Thanks, Lonni |
