Awesome!

I just find that Open GL games always perform better than their Direct X counterparts, DX seems bloated for no apparent reason, seeing as it ties directly more into the OS it should damned well run better.

Yea, the $50 question is, in a real battle, with multiple people on screen in a tight area frantically shooting and running around, how does the game perform? Hopefully that telefrag quote is true..


IMO, thats why Doom 3 and Quake 4 multiplayer sucks, cause with big CTF maps and lots of players, its performance is horrible, even with the detail turned down.

The top image is the high-res version made by the modeller.
2nd is the same model without textures, just occlusion mapping.
3rd is the low res (in-game) model in wireframe.
4th is the in-game representation with textures and bump-mapping applied.
